Who is JoosTricot?

Natalie Joos

JoosTricot is a knitwear brand by writer and stylist Natalie Joos. Joos conceived the line out of a personal need for a simple,  feminine, fitted sweater in many different colors and patterns.

“Every Fall I suffered the same predicament: where to find a slim fitting turtleneck that smoothly tucks into my jeans and high waisted skirts, hugs my body in all the right places and makes me feel sexy, sophisticated and comfortable. It was an arduous, laughable undertaking that quite frankly served little purpose. I would run to every department store, feverishly combing all the designer floors for the right sweater and come up with a disappointing black or grey. Or, find exciting little vintage numbers that looked great but didn't fit or feel right.”

Joos soon realized she had to take matters into her own hands. The idea came to fruition in Los Angeles, after Joos relocated from New York in January, 2016. JoosTricot started its first season with three trans-seasonal sweater styles in ten solid silk and cotton colors, solid Italian lurex in three colors, and a few different multi-colored patterns. Joos believes in the “buy now, wear now” principle and the idea that her knitwear is not tied to the seasonal circuit. Her sweaters can be bought and worn all year round, worldwide. They fit like a glove; are super soft; can be worn on bare skin, even bra-less; are lifting and compact.
